Ministries
BOSS is a place where all people can encounter God, faith and community in an authentic, relevant and uplifting environment. The ministries of BOSS are dedicated to serving a variety of needs that exist in our community while building meaningful relationships with others on their journey to wholeness. You will discover incredible people, inspiration and support for your dream, along with valuable resources and information. No matter where you are in life, at BOSS there is a ministry for you.
Adult Ministries
The Adult Discipleship Ministries at BOSS Church exist to disciple and support men and women on their journey to becoming Holy Spirit-led followers of Jesus Christ. We encourage men and women at BOSS to strengthen their relationships with God and others through gender-specific connection events and growth opportunities, community groups and in-depth Bible studies and serving opportunities. The ministry is centered around three focal points: REACH the lost, TEACH believers and RELEASE people to serve the church and community.
GROWTH: Lead a community group for men, women, singles or couples; teach an in-depth Bible study; teach an existing BOSS equipping class; lead a Multiply Discipleship Study group. Help plan and coordinate equipping workshops or conferences.
CONNECTION: Plan and coordinate quarterly and monthly connection events for adults and families; lead a men’s or women’s mentoring Group; one-to-one mentoring for students or adults.

Baptisms
Baptism is an amazing time for new believers to declare that they now belong to Jesus.
You are not being baptized into the BOSS Church body but into the Body of Christ universal. Baptism does not save the believer but is instead an outward symbolic representation of the inward work of grace through faith.

Student Ministries
BOSS COURTSIDE | Sunday Morning Huddle
Join us every Sundays at 10:00am for a student ministry service geared toward teens. What should you expect? During a typical Sunday service we spend the first fifteen minutes hanging out, having fun and getting to know each other. We then transition into our topic time, where we discuss relevant issues and biblical truth. Together we dig into God’s Word and have discussion about how it applies to us now, in today's culture. Here at BOSS Courtside, we're a team and teams become family, so everything we discuss is in a fun and safe environment. Come hang out with us! The 1st and 4th Sunday of each month are dedicated to family worship, we don't huddle up on those Sundays.
VOLUNTEERS
Adult volunteers are the heart of student ministry here at BOSS. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities – life group leaders, hosts, people to provide food, and people on the planning team. If you have a heart for our young people, please reach out to us, we'd love to connect!

Child Dedications
Parenting— It’s one of the most important responsibilities a person can have in life and one in which we are often the least trained.
Come learn practical ways to be the parent God has intended you to be. If you plan on dedicating your child, this class is required. Your child needs Godly parents, not more stuff!

Compassion and Outreach
Thousands of families are in the midst of economic crisis, homelessness and abandonment. Human trafficking, gang-related violence and unsafe neighborhoods are prevalent. It’s time we turn our faith into action! Here are a few of the various partnerships we have to bring hope and compassion to our hurting community:
• Loaves and Fishes – serve meals to the homeless
• Maryhouse – prepare and serve breakfast to homeless women
• Prison Ministries/Youth Detention – visitations, special events
• Sacramento Steps Forward – host overnight stays for the homeless
• St. John’s Shelter – prepare and serve monthly dinners
• Union Gospel Mission – serve monthly dinners
• Mack Road Partnership – keeping the neighborhood clean and safe
• Cops and Clergy – partnership with faith-based communities and police to promote safety
